They wait anxiously on the shore for the return of a loved one.  What a glorious homecoming it will be!

I love the colours and the waves. Beautiful work!

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Thank you so much Anne! The sunset colors were meant to show the end of the journey as well. A glorious end to the long period of waiting..."

Looks like a beautiful day for a homecoming. I like the colors!

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Homecomings can be a wonderful thing... I wanted to reflect the joy of the moment. Thank you for your comment Michelle!"

I also love the colors in this one. It has a really gentle..well, 'homey' feeling - all is well with the world. It would make a wonderful illustration for a fairytale...

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Oh wow... Jess you couldn't have given me a more inspiring comment! That is exactly what I wished to portray. Thank you!"

I love the pastel softness of the clouds. This is the sort of scene that Raj Ramaya's "Strangers" should be playing home, or Alan Price's "Time and Tide"

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "I am so honored you took time to look at my gallery Liz! Thank you! *waits for speakers for the computer so she can listen to those songs!* LOL {{hugs}} ~Deborah"

What glorious colors those are. The environment is very alive, you can clearly see the wind in the boat's sails, the lady's dress, the hair and spy the sheen in the gentle waves as they slide underfoot. The whole image creates this heart warming radiance, you are quite talented indeed and thank you for sharing your art.

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Thank you very much Christiano! I am so deeply honored to have such talented colleagues comment on my work. I hope you will be uploading more soon! ~Deborah"

This does give the feeling of being at a breezy warm sandy beach. The waiting is apparent, but the mood is inviting.

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Thank you so much John, this is exactly what I was going for. That 'joyous welcoming home to a sweetheart gone far too long' atmosphere! So long anticipated even the sunset seemed to cooperate! LOL Thank you John!"
10 Apr 2008:-) Sarah Fragore Roper
love the pics but i mean... no offence of anythin, but you need a better scanner.

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Amakura, I couldn’t agree more but poor artists have to use what they can get their hands on! LOL"
7 Dec 2008:-) Anitta Hiekkanen
I just love the colours. They are so light, yet so bright, like they would be in reality... Even I don’t understand what I’m saying anymore 1

:-) Deborah Flyinghorse Sutherlin replies: "Thank you very much Anitta! I’ve been in such a dry spell, it’s kind comments like yours that give me inspiration! I’m just very glad you like the pieces!"
